background / biography
MissDee comes from a family of talented musicans - her mother being a singer, and her father a producer, songwriter and bass player who both have performed with some of the greatest of performers. Since childhood, music has been a focal point of MissDee's life, beginning in her church choir. At age 10, she was referred to as the church Songbird, and often called upon to lead the choir and perform solos. MissDee discovered her passion for producing in 2001, after her father built his home studio and began to show her how to operate the equipment, and how to produce songs. It intrigued her, even more than singing, and she began to realize her destiny as a producer. MissDee's sound is eclectic and unique, and she takes pride in putting her heart into each track she creates. Her greatest influences and role models include Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and The Neptunes. Her sound ranges from Hip Hop and R&B/Soul, to Pop and Alternative. MissDee has produced tracks on up and coming rap artist, Tahjae's album, "2 Sides 2 a Story", coming soon, and is also featured as one of the vocalists on the track "What U Do", also produced my MissDee. MissDee is a new member of Darkstarz Productionz and looks forward to working with the Darkstarz family to create a new chapter in music history.
